New College Oxford N/A

New College, Oxford was founded by William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester in 1370. Properly St Mary's College, the college has always been known as New College to distinguish it from Oriel College, which is also dedicated to St Mary. Winchester College was founded at the same time to provide the undergraduates for New College. The first stamp is probably from the sixteenth century, the others all of the nineteenth.
