King, Edward, 1st Earl of Kingston (1726 -1797)

Sir Edward King, 5th Baronet of Rockingham, County Roscommon, was the second son of Sir Henry King, 3rd Baronet, and Isabella, daughter of Edward Wingfield, of Powerscourt, County Wicklow, and sister of Richard, 1st Viscount Powerscourt. He married, 5 January 1752, Jane, daughter of Thomas Caulfield, of Donamon, County Roscommon, and was created Baron Kingston of Rockingham 13 July 1764, Viscount Kingsborough 15 November 1766, and Earl of Kingston 25 August 1768. The library of Edward King Tenison, Viscount Kingsborough was sold by Charles Sharpe, Angelsey Street, Dublin, 12 July 1842.
