Holdforth, Walter (1825 -1882)

Probably the crest of Walter Holdforth, born 1825 at Leeds in Yorkshire. In 1868 he married Elizabeth Linford, daughter of George and Jane Linford.   He attended Ampleforth School, Yorkshire in 1836.

By trade he was a silk spinner.
