Churchill, Henry Blencowe (1800 -1880)

Henry Blencowe Churchill, of the Inner Temple, was the only son of Henry Churchill, solicitor, of Bicester in Oxfordshire. He matriculated at Lincoln College, Oxford, 14 October 1817, age 16, and entered Peterhouse, Cambridge, 21 September 1820, age 20, where he matriculated in 1821. He was admitted a student of the Inner Temple 10 February 1821, was called to the bar in 1827 and incorporated at Gray's Inn 22 January 1846. He died at Reigate 12 August 1880. His library of out of the way books was sold at auction in London 25 February 1881 by Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge.
