The motto is that of Blayney. The arms of Blayney are Sable three nags heads erased argent, and the crest is A horse's head couped bridled gules on the forehead a piece of armour with a projecting spike proper. These coincidences are surely not accidental.

This is the stamp of the Swede Erik Benzelius (1675-1743), librarian of Uppsala University library from 1702 to 1723.
